The company is established under the name Didacto and specializes in producing toys for the educational market (teaching numbers, time, geometric shapes, etc.)
1987

The company name changes to Edushape. We exhibit at our first global trade show in Europe.
1989

We are welcomed into the retail world and begin creating products for babies (0-3 yrs.). We also launch unique new foam products. By this time, Edushape products are now being distributed to retailers worldwide!

We open our U.S. subsidiary and begin selling in North America (initially the U.S. business office was a home basement).

The Edu-Tiles Play Mat is presented to the market. Tiles can be used to construct a magnificent tent, an imaginative storage box, a soft colorful floor mat, and much more.

The original Sensory Balls are introduced to the world. Over the years we develop more than a dozen colorful and different ball designs for all ages, including the award winning Fun Z Balls.

We expand our portfolio to include plush and soft toys. The Dress-a-Pillar character is particularly successful. Subsequently, his ‘brother’ Dr. Pooch is introduced.

We open our Hong Kong office. This allows us to upgrade our quality control process and expand production abilities, greatly increasing our range of products.

We develop a new line of bath toys, pioneering the concept of making the bath a time for learning fun. "Splash & Flash Octopus" is launched and becomes a company best seller.

Our Edu-Blocks are born this year. No wood splinters, no sharp corners and not heavy, they are safe, soft, flexible and unique. Edu Blocks are now established as one of our leading products for kindergartens and preschools.

Our Bath Toys series gets a boost and now boasts more than 20 products (Floating Blocks and new designs of Magic Creations are launched).

We develop “Feelings Friend” in collaboration with a Ph.D. Professor at the Department of Human Development and Education, TAU.
